"Oh @%*&, my website is 'hosed'." The realization usually brings some degree of panic, and is usually followed quickly by the question; "What am I going to do?" or "This is going to cost me a fortune."
Enterprise sites can lose money and even customers rather quickly, but you don't need us to tell you that. Raging River, has a lot of experience with WordPress repair, and we've never lost a patient.
Before writing this page we surveyed the web a little.
One site promised "one hour, back online", but they would charge you $250 for the effort. We didn't research them any further, because it immediately occurred to us that our dictionary tells us "online" has quite a different meaning from "fixed".
It also occurred to us that many hacked sites never go down at all. Spam-vertized sites stay up, but they are advertising on your nickel. The site continues to operate just fine, but it still needs fixed and quickly if you value your Google rating.
Another site we noticed carried a $15 per hour rate, but only if the repair took less than 1.5 hours to complete. Obviously these guys were not going to work real hard to beat this time cutoff.
Yet another site displayed this;
No wordpress repairs are too smail, (sic)
on their WordPress repair page. We could not locate a rate on this site. And all of the above sites were found at the top of the first page of Google Search.
So... Let's get this out of the way up front.
